Making the right choice

The right school for children is often the key to their happiness and future success. Finding this school can be fraught with difficulties, particularly for those new to an area where schools usually have limited spaces. The North West offers a wide selection of schools at primary and secondary level, both state and independent.  Schooling is generally of a high standard, for example, Trafford Education Authority is consistently one of the best performing education authorities in the country.

We bring a professional and friendly approach to school selection. We have good knowledge of schools in Manchester and Cheshire and have previously visited many of them and can offer impartial advice based upon the individual needs of the child and the family.  Our aim is to carry a child centred search, never losing sight of the fact that a move to a new school can be daunting. It is not all about the best school but about the best school for the child.

How can we help you?

• We will contact suitable schools to establish the availability of places and entry requirements;
• We consider both the academic and non academic needs of the child, for example, we consider children’s sporting preferences, musical abilities and other interests
• Appointments are made to view the selected schools and meet the appropriate members of staff;
• Where required these visits are accompanied; this can be helpful especially for those new to the UK schooling system;
• We will facilitate entrance tests where necessary;
• Advice and feedback sessions to support the final selection;
• Ongoing support during the move to the new school.
